Survs’s pricing
Our email inbox has been flooded with questions about Survs’s pricing. Some of you want to start paying right now – unfortunately this is not possible until we launch the final version. However it’s fantastic to see such enthusiasm for our work :-).
Although we are still working on the price details you deserve to know what we have in mind.
Plans
There will be a free plan with some feature limitations, whereas all paid plans are full featured. The main differences are the number of users allowed in the account and the amount of responses per month:
- The Free plan will allow 1 user and 100 responses per survey.
- The Basic plan will cost $19/month, allows 2 users and 2,000 responses per month.
- The Pro plan will cost $39/month, allows 4 users and 4,000 responses per month.
- The Premium plan will cost $119/month, allows 20 users and 24,000 responses per month.
Non-profit and academic institutions will have considerable discounts.
Promotional codes
One last note about the promotional codes mentioned in the “Account” section of the application. Sometimes we give promotional licenses to people and institutions that help us to test Survs. We also distribute licenses on our Twitter page from time to time… These promotional codes can be redeemed in the “Account” section.
Let us know if these prices are in line with what you were expecting :-).
Update!
Make sure to check the new pricing model.

Yes, they are really fine. But could be better to have up to 3000 responses per month to free members, but they must include a logo of SURVS.com, so if you want to remove the logo, pay XXXX… And if you want more than 3000 per month these plans. I mean this, because of 100 responses for free is a bit disgusting excepting there are promo codes. (just my opinion)
I wanna help improving these stuff. Really cool work, guys.

I agree with Tom regarding the free to members responses, but I would suggest 1000 might be fair.
Keep up the good work!

Consider something along the lines of the iTunes/Apps store pricing model: sell cheap/sell more. How about $1.99 per survey for 1 user and 1000 responses?

Hi!
Great job guys, this service.
I have a question:
I have FREE plan. I make new survey a send it out. Suddenly, there are more respondents than just 100. What can I expect from the service that happens?
A) all respondents above 100 will just see message “sorry, no more participants” OR
B) survey will still be available, but the answers will not count into the results (until I pay for plan upgrade?)
Thank you.
PS: This is really important to know and I cannot find it in any FAQ or Help page.

OK, I found it in Help:
Channel restrictions – Limit number of responses:
Automatically closes the channel when the number of responses reaches a certain value.

Thank you very much for all the feedback!
We’ve been hearing lots of different points of view about Survs’s pricing… It’s hard to please everyone, but we’ll do our best to roll out suitable pricing plans for a wide range of usage scenarios :-).

Pricing fine, but I agree with Tom about a rebrandable/logo-free version. That would be really really awesome to be able to offer this to clients. campaignmonitor.com and businesscatalyst.comcome to mind with a ‘white-label’ service.

Hi! Survs is the best online survey tool I have tested. Great work!
Payed plan should have the feature of domain personalization so we can have surveys on our domain and not survs.com. In my case this is a “must have” feature. Because of increasing number of pishing sites we instruct all our clients not to leave any info on sites that are not in our domain.

@Igor
You can use a iframe to publish the survey on your web site:

I love the flexibility of Survs. I am in the process of writing a substance abuse survey and Survs is working perfect! I a one who would start paying now!

Survey is also used by individuals, and it is not usual for an individual to conduct surveys in a continues manner and they may not need multi-users access. Therefore, another way of introducing the price is IMHO needed. it is a cost per survey. the cost may seem not worthy, but it is the very simple way of increasing the number of customers.

I feel the pricing is steep; very, very steep. For example the main rival you guys would have, is actually cheaper. 200 USD yearly for unlimited responses. Even the basic plan is inferior to the only other paid option Survey Monkey has.
The only thing about survs that wins is the format, and ease of use; but for en masse corporate surveys; survs will be a last choice.

I think your pricing is fair — just two comments:
1. Responses should continue to be collected past the limit — just hide them from me until I upgrade (and then they are unlocked).
2. I don’t run lots of surveys and, therefore, don’t need a monthly subscription. I’d like to be able to purchase surveys individually.

@Justin ;; what about surveys that get more then 24000? That is a final cap?
The pricing at Survs is much steeper then many other survey companies. And more expensive then running it yourself, if you are going to get tens of thousands of responses.

Need a non-subscription price.

Well, I must agree that the “free plan” should be a bit more generous because I think 100 answers could be a little bit “incomprehensible”. I think that number should be well increased.
About Survs itself… well, keep up the EXCELLENT work ;)I’m doing my cut by spreading it amongst my people.

I’ve seen a couple of mentions for pay per surv idea. I’m involved in surveying in both a professional and voluntary capacity. In neither of these, do I use a survey tool regularly enough to merit a monthly subscription, but on occasion the number of respondents will be in a couple of thousand. In actual fact for the voluntary work I do, the monthly subscription can prove a turn off but the free versions don’t quite meet requirements. As it is I’m giving my time to design and carry out a survey as well as analyse and report – I can be out of pocket as well. Volunteering and community activity is becoming increasingly important and as a movement we’re getting much smarter at using such technology.
In my humble opinion, providing a service that could be used on a pay per use would provide a completely flexible solution to a greater customer base and coupled with your simplicity and clarity of use, would mean that Survs has potential to become the leader of the pack.

Hi Guys,
Have used survs for the first time today to create a survey for a local non-for profit group. The ease of use and presentation is fantastic. However I’m inclined to agree with previous comments about price/subscription etc. We don’t get many requests for surveys so a monthly subscription is not an option and 100 responses from the free plan isn’t great. Perhaps (like already suggested) 1000 responses with survs logo or a small cost for 1 user and 1000 responses could be considered. That’d be great for my needs.

Just a quote. For the last couple of weeks we have evaluated nearly 20 different EFM solutions (Survey Solutions) and I have to mention, that Survs by far is the most innovative solution. Well done!
It would be very useful, if the final distribution option could include parametres as to e.g. “Window size”, “Drop browser navigation” etc. Furthermore a “Private policy” link with text option could be of interest.
There has been a lot of blog as to number of responses vs. fee. As to the evaluation of other Survey Solutions it seems that Survs are VERY competitive – no. of responses, functionality vs. price. They have to get some outcome as to the development of this – for now – very innovative package.
